The communication and the understanding of the process users about capturing, implementation, execution and optimisation of business processes is at the core of the approach M.E.M.O.®. It extends the traditional business process management methods consistently with established and successfully proven agile concepts. The following phases represent the backbone for the agile optimisation of your processes:
Map (Process Capturing),
Enrich (Process Enrichment),
Monitor (Process Monitoring) and
Optimize (Process Optimisation).
Common language modeling
„The whole art of language consists in being understood.“ Confucius (551 - 479 b. C.). The use of common language within process models, e.g. technical or everyday language, makes it easier for emplyoees to share there process knowledge. Furthermore it improves knowledge management and knowledge exchange. Moreover, the use of common language helps to meet the high quality requirements in process capturing.
Continuous analysis and optimisation of processes
M.E.M.O.® combines two cycles. The first cycle unites Process Capturing and Process Implementation. The second cycle will continuously analyze and optimize the processes. The result is a comprehensive documentation of requirements and a set of ideas for process optimisation.
Constant exchange between users and IT
With short, pre-defined meetings M.E.M.O.® promotes the constant exchange and communication between users and IT professionals. Thereby, the close cooperation of all process participants is improved. Furthermore it offers the opportunity to compare the actual as-is-process with the to-be-process.
Role concept enables structured workspaces
M.E.M.O.® defines specific roles, which further refines the two groups of users and IT professionals. The provided role concept enables a structured processing of the selected process models. Process participants can assume multiple roles.
The model at the core of the method
BPMNEasy1.2: reduced and comprehensive elementset
BPMN 2.0 speficies on 532 pages more than 90 objects with 143 properties, which can be connected by more than six relations - intuitively is done differently! The reduced elementset of BPMNEasy1.2 allows easy application without extensive training - at full expressiveness of the language.
Reusing by BPMN 2.0 compliant models
All BPMNEasy1.2 models are completly compliant and valid with BPMN 2.0. With a valid XML-Dataformat, which does not hurt BPMN 2.0 standard, reusing of the BPMNEasy1.2 models is possible. The Process models meet the requirements for a machine-readable process model. Avoiding media-breaks while transferring captured business process information into BPM tool suites safes timeand money. Additionally, the reduction of error rates increases overall process quality significantly. Processes are captured digitally from the beginning.
Annotation of mediafiles, such as images, audio, video files or other files improves the understanding of the real processes. Multimedia files can be annotated to all BPMNEasy1.2-elements. This allows to capture highly complex facts in the user's technical and everyday language.
BPMNEasy1.2 distinguish four activities: manual task, user Task, service task and generic task. Different colors allows to easily distinguish the activities from each other. This increases the intuitive modelling with BPMNEasy1.2.
Every start and end point of a BPMNEasy1.2 model is marked with a start event or respectively an end event. Events within a process are modeled as an intermediate event.
BPMNEasy1.2 includes two gateways. If there is a propositional either-or decision the exclusive gateway is used. For the parallelization of sequence flows the parallel gateway is used.
With BPM Touch® in combination with M.E.M.O.® you can use technical and everyday language to capture and model business processes.
